In the early 80s, I used to go to Carolines in the city. It was a little supper club back then. And I would go see Gilbert Godfried or Pee Wee Herman and Howie Mandel. So that 85 to 90 was when he was really doing stand-up. He did the HBO Young Comedian special in 1992. Then he was riding on The Ben Stiller Show and it kept me so busy that I just stopped doing stand- up.
