The Effects of Ketamine on Suicide Diality
The half-life of ketamine is about two to four hours. At 90 minutes, it was really quite effective for suicide diality and then by 230 minutes, it had worn off. So at this point, I don't think anyone's going to be sending home a suicidal patient after you give them ketamine. But maybe one day in the future, if bigger studies do pan out and maybe we have good supports for the patients as outpatients, you can imagine a day where that might work.
