Phenomena signifies the distinctive way in which something can be encountered. Appearance, on the other hand, means a reference relationship which is in an entity itself. What does the referring can fulfil its possible function only if it shows itself in itself and is thu phenomenon. It could still be the case that most of the everyday things we encounter are not phenomena. But we'll figure that out as we actualy ddo phenomenology.
