Intisar Fakir: This past Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron concluded a three-day visit to Algiers and Wairan with a large delegation. He says it was meant to mark a bit of a reset of the bilateral relationship which has always had ups and downs. There are several elements to this troubled relationship that have either been affected by the recent diplomatic spat or were part of what drove the tension in the first place., he says.
