The Killing of Irene McCans
Irene McCans was found dead in a park near Blackpool, West Yorkshire. She had been viciously stabbed and her body covered by a black plastic screen. Police believed the weapons used were most likely a hammer and a very sharp knife. The killer struck Irene with one blow to the head and immobilized her then dragged her from where tire tracks ended to where she was found. New detective Jim Hobson started several different lines of inquiry including house-to-house inquiries.
