AI and the Future of Science Fiction

I don't know that having AI do it would generate like such a powerful cost savings. If we could get software generated novels that were coherent but not necessarily particularly good, I think they would there would be a market for them. You might very well need an AI which is as capable as a person in order to write a novel like that. No one is really working on that at the moment.
