Adrian's allegations were treated with utmost seriousness. A full investigation was launched to determine whether those who held the seance had attempted to pervert the course of justice. The four jury members insisted that the decision to use the Ouija board had been nothing more than a poor decision fueled by alcohol. Despite some of their emotional reactions, they each viewed the whole thing as a joke. It took six months of questioning and deliberations before the court declared that while the jury had misbehaved, nothing criminal had occurred.
