The Role of Editing News in the Digital Age

The report panel made a point, so-called legacy media that had gone digital often had the split initially when they went online. They would have a whole separate bunch of people with the expertise doing it. But most had moved past that and integrated it all their digital news operations and whatever news other news operations they have. Did you not see that as a longtime editor and editor in chief here that this was something that was passed at a tell-by date and you should have responded earlier?
