Do You Know Your Self-Worth?

In an economic system where the values of things are either explicitly or implicitly visible, it is much easier for people to define their self-worth based on those economic values. I think because the marriage markets previously were illiquid, it was like, okay, look, I'm born into this social class. In my social circle, there are these like three other people within these social circles that are of similar marriageable age to me and like probably end up marrying one of these guys. Yeah. Separately, I have my own sense of self-worth, et cetera, outside of whether any of these three guys is like brilliant to me or something.
