Should You Focus on the Journey or on the Destination?
Sometimes the ends can also justify the means and make the process itself fun. The solution that most people prescribe for this problem is to focus on the process. But, like you said, someone that's climbing Mount Everest really wants to get to the top. They're not enjoying the process of climbing up Mount Everest. It's freezing cold. There's dead bodies next to them. You look back in five years at that quest where you made it to the top of Mount Everest with nothing but fond memories.
