The Purpose of University in a Technical Field in Industry

The purpose of university is not to teach information. It's if you think about any domain that you're studying, it's going to be highly narrowly focused on one very small subdomain in a much broader ecosystem of knowledge. The process of the rigor that you need to achieve in order to understand something at that level of information and fully understand everything about it of that sub Domain. That's what's most critical in a technical field in industry. We have short time budgets. And there's always thousands of competing ideas for ways to spend your time with data science team or where I work now in a software engineering team.
