The Parthenon and the Acropolis
The Parthenon was a church for much longer than it was a temple in around 600. Venetian bombardment of Athens used the Parthenon then a mosque as target practice and that they were actually holding gunpowder within the mosque at that time. The whole of the Acropolis is is built up with the settlement and people are just living cheek by gel with the rooms of thisThis temple which has no cultural value to them it has a value to them in terms of being a building material.
