In viral videos and Instagram posts, red mercury was shown as a metallic red liquid which was supposed to have magical powers. In these cases, red mercury is usually supposed to be found in the throats of Egyptian mummies or else it can be discovered in the nests of vampire bats. One YouTube video that amassed hundreds of thousands of views sought to prove its legitimacy by showing the red mercury being repelled by garlic and not appearing in a mirror. It's just people making things up on YouTube to build gullible viewers out of money. And if it ever did, what's there to say about it?
