Are We Just Trying to Understand the Major Ideas of Groups?
Group theory is a way of looking at how groups are represented in different vector spaces of different dimensions. The research going on right now can't be very generalized because I feel like All the general ideas are already put Right? So where did group theory start? Do you know? Like what were the first kind of um, Merk elections? It's also hard to say because Sort of foundations of math changed a lot in the 1800s When groups were being recognized as something and they sort of came up at the same time as algebraic structures.
