Stop ACE Inhibition in Advanced Chronic Kidney Disease
The study that made a splash was from 2010 in NDT by Dr. Ahmed and Nahaas. It was the impact of stopping inhibitors of renin angiotensin system in patients with advanced CKD. And they reported on something like 50 patients where they stopped ACE inhibition or RAS inhibition. Their GFR popped up from 16 to 26 and then remained stable for a number of years.
