There was an earlier conspiracy a few years before this that failed and historians sort of doubt that this was so serious. But at the beginning of Cataline's conspiracy, he makes this speech that Salist records. And I recently did a Twitter thread about this speech to kind of analyze it. We're taking Salist word on what Cataline said. The people who were present were all fellow conspirators. Nobody who wasn't a conspirator was present. So you know, how did Salist get this speech? Well, Salist says, Cataline said something like this. It has something to do with him being console.
