Donald Swanson - A London Bobby

Donald Swanson joined the Metropolitan Police in 1871. He was part of an operation to push most sex workers out of hay markets by 1874. In 1877 he became involved in a cover-up involving corrupt detectives. The Turf Fraud scandal led to Scotland Yard being disbanded and replaced with Criminal Investigation Department.
