Introduction

Dr. Temple Grandin is a professor of animal science at Colorado State University and has been an outspoken advocate for autistic people. In 2010, she was named a hero in the time 100 list of the most influential people in the world. She became an expert in the field of livestock behavior and facilities design where her innovations have transformed practices for the humane handling of livestock in slaughterhouses.
