The Seven Conditions for the Florian of the Virginians
Sankarashta thought the real importance in society was helping the Sanga to grow and flourish. He said if you can exemplify ethics, that will have an effect on others. Having an impact on others through one's own ethical practice is a slow path. And I think that's what this seven conditions for the Florian of the Virginians is really about. It's about those channels to help our ethical practice move out into the world. Talk to people, listen to what they have to say, respect traditions, respect history, respect one's elders, respect the vulnerable, respect beauty in the arts, and respect those who live as the highest.
