The Importance of Being Present
I think the pattern that I saw most clearly in childhood was being very obedient and being very compliant. But as an adult being obedient, doesn't really matter anymore. Like I'm my own authority, but I was still sort of looking for favor from other people or trying to engration myself. And so maybe there's a moment, maybe a series of moments where you became aware that your pattern, again, it's neither good nor bad, but there are some parts of it that don't quite work now.
