Civil Liberties Are Important
I think it's best where the conditions for its establishment and maintenance are in place. We need a procedure, political procedure, for deciding policy questions that need to be decided one way or another. The other thing i like about democratic republics is there are no permanent winners and no permanent losers. In the forms of deliberat democracy, my view doesn't get made into policy.
