The Mothman and the Silver Bridge Collapse
Point Pleasant, West Virginia was the site of a tragic accident on the silver bridge. The Mothman had first been cited near Point Pleasant in 1961 - five years before the flap that made the Mothman famous. That night, a witness said that he was driving down the road when a winged figure appeared beforehand. And apparently the wings spanned the entire length of the road.
