The History of the Wolf in Yellowstone National Park
In 1995, they brought wolves back to Yellowstone National Park. They reintroduced wolves into their natural habitats. And what happened completely surprised them? The elk started getting scared. So the elk now started to move around again. And because the elk stopped over grazing, now the young little baby trees had to change the grow. Then the trees start to grow and all the little plants that relied upon the trees underneath them began to grow too. You started to see beavers building dams in swamps full of turtles and frogs. And you started to see rivers full of fish and salmon. Everything repaired itself because they reintroduced a key stone species, one animal, the wolf, the apex
