Is Moral Responsibility a Binary Notion?
I think moral responsibility is not a binary notion. I mean, there is a sense in which either you're responsible or you're not, but responsibility itself is a degree or scale or notion. And so I think it's going to be most plausible that even if there is this sort of epistemological worry about young kids, like when they do start becoming morally responsible for what they do, it's only a little bit at a time. That's something that grows over time.
