Is Seven Minutes a Good Thing?
When they were testing out the overtime rules to implement them in the NHL, the AHL actually went to seven minutes for the 14, 15 season. So I don't know, just go sit and look at those GMs and if it's better than move to that. How many teams in the NHL have played in 10 or more shootouts this season? Zero. Just he says zero. Ten is a lot. The Oilers are 0 and 4. That's kind of wild. All three of those teams that are in like pretty heated playoff battles have not won a shootout game. Look at the Islanders. They've been absolutely royally fucked by the shooting. It could cost them their season.
