Is There a Priority of Keeping the Line Moving?
When we interviewed managers to ask them about their perspectives of gift card fraud, they understood the problem. One of their priorities is to keep the line moving. Others saw this really as a priority to protect people but were also aware that sometimes customers are not pleasant when a cashier tries to intervene in their purchase. There was specific examples of retail workers stepping up and doing the right thing.
