Locals near rupkund had a legend about this pilgrimage. A group of pilgrims was actually killed by giant hailstones. Scientists started thinking that the locals were on to something here with this nonda davy story. But in the early two thousands, more research was done on the bones. Several skulls had depressed fractures on the top that were made by a heavy object like a hailstone.
