I think that if you really look at how people screw things up, one of the big reasons is behavioral. It's this hanging on to the winners too long or not letting go of the losers and waiting for things to settle down. My first book is just almost entirely about this. Five mistakes investors make and how to avoid them. Once you've got all these principles down, it's one thing to read about them. It's a whole other thing to live through a bear market and try to avoid those behavioral biases that will derail you along the way.
