I want us to collectively have this discussion to shape this. All technology at this level is dual use. I can think of lots of ways where we could put various forms of trip wires and slow things down, while preserving its benefit. Today's model, which is an amped up AI feed to increase engagement and make you outraged, is not what was on the program 10 years ago. And those issues were made by technical people, not by society as a whole. We need to start thinking about how does society look like when we have these things co-existent. It's funny to see my friends go to Google as I left. But it's all good.
In this episode, Peter and Eric discuss how to successfully run a tech giant like Google, the arms race of AI, and how Quantum tech will change the world.

- 15:19 | Creating algorithms that digitize everything
- 38:57 | USA v China: who will win the race to AI?
- 41:20 | The mindset needed to run a company like Google
