The Long Term Goals of Politicians

I think it's just a matter of time because even a 2% inflation will get to that point. And the question is whether incomes will keep up with it. What's our real standard of living? If we pass laws against marijuana and then put people in jail and hire guards and build jails, that's all GDP. So to me, that doesn't enhance anybody's standard of living. But if we get real growth, it enhances our standard of living... I'm not an office. You have to look at what the long term goals are of people in office.
