The Bolshevik Party and American Politics

The structure of China's political system is based on the party structure that the, the Bolsheviks set up. The closest thing to a presidential election would be one party getting together and they chose the president. Xi Jinping was able to eliminate the two term limit on Chinese leaders after Mao because people were like, "Maybe this is a bad idea" He also purged some of his opponents in an effort to consolidate power.
