Carbon Markets

Cup 26 led to a break through in the rules for government lead carbon markets. The idea is that countries that do not meet their omission reduction targets can purchase credits from other nations who have cut their omissions more than they ged. This could potentially unlock trillions of dollars for protecting forests, expending renewable energy and other projects to combat climate change. But all this is non binding and speculative, and it just furthers this whole carbon market concept which i'm not thrilled about.
