The New Virginia Colony

The first english settlers arrived in north ria on the thirteenth of may, 16 o seven. They struggled to adapt and some died from lack of food or water. Amongst them was a bird that somehow reminded them of home. A medium sized song bird which would go on to become the steep bird of virginia and many other states as well. In cherokee mythology, the cardinal is believed to be the daughter of the sun. The call is a symbol of love and faith.
