i think that most calvinists would say that it was a misstatement of calvin to claim that god was the author of evil. If an author is autoring a book, and that book is actually am the what is the decisive cause of the characters actions in real life, i think there's a huge problem with that,. I don't see a distinction worth making between those two things.
