The Relationship Between Internal and External Rotation of the Humerus
There are studies that talk about different subochromial pressures based on the rotation position. In external rotation there's around 14 millimeters of mercury pressure between the humerus and the chromium, whereas in an internal rotation there's up to 36 millimeter of mercury pressure. That is suggesting that internal rotation, the pressure under the chromium is almost double the pressure of neutral and almost three times the pressure of external rotation. But as I said, the jury's still out, we've got to get more research on this before we actually know what’s going on.
