It's basically just like the money that the executive level people are getting is just insane amounts of money, more money than they would ever know what to do with. And then the writers are getting garbage money. The people who actually make it. From what I've read a lot of this is about not so much the current batch of writers, but they want to secure all of these futures for the next generation of writers.
