If that was the whole story, then a pair of humans could produce just over 70 trillion possible distinct humans. But we are just talking about the same two people, right? We're not saying that someone on the planet might have the same kid as two other people on the planet. What it means is that if two humans have a child, first of all, that's one of those 70 trillion possible kids, and then they have a second one. They had the same kid again.
