The Magneon Case and the Anti-Vivisection Movement
Magneon injected the dog again, this time with Absynth. The dog appeared to have a seizure and then died. Four English surgeons who had been present were charged with animal mistreatment,. Magneon had run back to France to escape the charges. Francis Power Cobb created the Society for the Protection of Animals Liable for Vivisection.
