Can Core Real Estate Really Produce Consistent Returns in Fixed Income?

A lot of our clients, as we said, just strictly come to us because they want that monthly consistent income. And what we really like to do, and I think one of the best decisions we made last year was fully exiting the fixed income markets on the public side. So instead of clipping 3% to 4% in early 2022, we were collecting 10% from our core real estate funds and some promissory notes tied to real estate companies. That shift alone right there led to major outperformance.
