Isn't Copper Anti Microbial?

I didn't realize that there's like anti microbial coating that they'll put on. Fabric would go on top of fabric and it would essentially inhibit lipid and enveloped viruses and bacteria from developing on it. I need to ask my friend Erica who a one survivor and I'm so curious. There's stress happening on that show. Yeah well they are going in the water a lot. It's almost like the medieval ages of the worst where they wouldn't have been near water because they all probably smelled so bad.
