Monolithic Architectures or Modular Monolith Architectures?
I don't believe distributed systems are a suitable bullet at all. Sometimes for a startup having a quick turnaround it makes way more sense than starting with microservices or micro frontends because you don't even know if your product will reach prime time. So I think also with a monolithic code base you can achieve some benefit or modularity at the code base level and then that will be your foundation for them moving towards a more distributed system. And those three things doesn't have to be achieved in the first iteration.
