The Role of Terpenes in Brewer's Yeast

Berkeley yeast modified brewer's yeast to add in the terpenes flavors that they want. Could there be a fruited yeast series where you don't have to add fruit but it expresses like fruit character? Yeast can encode things from basal or oregano or other plants into its genome and then it makes this terping because yeast have a pathway that does that. Maybe if you can findlike a strawberry or a peach pathway maybe there's a way to get a yeast to do that as well.
