In 2000, at 16 or 17 Berkeley, we decided to just do a simple time audit. The math wasn't adding up anymore in terms of the number of hours that we have allocated to RAS to do the work. This is not their primary job, they're students first. And so it really started thinking like, are we doing this right? Or should we be relying on our residents systems to be addressing a lot of this stuff now?"
