A meta-analysis of eight randomized controlled trials determine that, quote, walking has a statistically significant, large effect on the symptoms of depression. The researcher described walking as a promising treatment for depression with few or no contraindications. But they went on in the study to say more research needs to be done to determine best prescriptive walking recommendations by clinicians.
