Why Is Japan Politically Unequal?
In Japan, once you're 22, you get your job and you're expected to stay at that job forever. By the time most women are 35, they've had a child and then they can't enter the workforce again. The people in power who are mostly older men don't want change because they don't want to change a system that benefits them.
