The Vermont Climate Council's Energy Transition Initiatives
Vermont has been trying to develop its own clean energy sources for decades. The state's investors owned utilities instead of buying power from Hydro Quebec and Churchill Falls built the state's only nuclear power plant in the 1960s. Richard Coward is a principal at RAP, which supports energy regulators all over the world. He talks about some of the Vermont legislature's major initiatives that are relevant to the energy transition.
