The bank of england has two kind of weapons at its disposal. It's got interustrates, and it's got a quantity of easing. In the last few years, pretty much since the financial crisis, they've reduced those to very low levels. Now we're at a point where inflation is rising, so it does have the scope to start increasing those things.
