Emilio Haino and the Evolution of Animation
Emilio Haino invented a machine that was like a rotating horizontal band. He used it to project what he called illuminated pan to mimes. The longest piece he ever did was three minutes, which at the time was considered extremely long. Between 1892 and 1900, it is estimated that his work was seen by over a half a million people.
