The Importance of a Cold Start in Java
In Node.js there's an environment variable that you set to help with the HTTP warm up and the same thing with Python. SQS and SNS rely on a long-living application which is not very suitable for the Lambda world they are simply recycled the stuff you don't want to cache it costs you memory. The second problem is this translation layer between your programming model and JSON but I'm quite confident that the call starts using these services will be kind of lower.
