The Legend of Earl Palmer

Earl Palmer was the drummer in Dave Bartholomew's band of session musicians. That band was centered around Cosimo Matassa's studio, J&M in Louisiana. The records would be the quintessential New Orleans records that still 70 years on sum up the sound of that city.
